Fiber Artists of San Antonio is a volunteer organization dedicated to education, opportunity, and professional development. Membership is open to all artists who work in fiber media and to all supporters of fiber arts, textiles and quilting arts.

You'll find the resources here that you need to be an active, creative member of the fiber arts community, including a calendar of events; major FASA events, some with challenges; event rules and entry forms; program details and other information. On this site are password-protected, members-only pages. These pages provide information, such as blogs, web sites, and member-identified photos to support the further building of the fiber arts community.

Part of our mission is to promote and advance fiber arts through the education of members and the public. Our annual exhibitions provide opportunities for members and other artists to exhibit their work, and for the larger community to gain a greater appreciation for fiber art.  Each exhibition is juried by a reputable and well-respected member of the fiber arts community nationwide. Our exhibits have been hosted by galleries, art centers and museums, including Gallery Nord (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011), the Southwest School of Art, the Witte Museum, and the San Antonio Public Library.

FASA sponsors workshops led by regionally- and nationally-known fiber artists and fiber arts-related professionals. Workshop participation is open first to members and then to the general public. If you would like more information, email our Program Vice-Presidents for details. The page for email addresses for the Officers and Board is found on the menu on the left side of each page.

FASA is a 501(3)(c) organization. All organizational meetings and activities serve educational, charitable and cultural purposes within the meaning of Section 501(3)(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.
