The FASA 2011 Annual Exhibition opened on October 6th with 90 guests attending the opening reception. The exhibition was held at Gallery Nord, 2009 NW Military Hwy through October 28th.
There were 38 artists represented, 36 of which are members of FASA or the Texas Federation of Fiber Artists, and 63 works of fiber art are displayed. The art works are pictured below, beginning with the awards given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Most Innovative Use of Materials, Surface Design Award and Warrior Award (explained on the Welcome Page).
The pictures below in no way do justice to the works of fiber art. The images are not in proportion to other art work that surround them, but are taken to show as much detail as will fit into the image size.
