Monthly Meetings - 2nd Monday from 9:30 to 12:00
FASA meets the second Monday of each month, at the Alamo Heights Christian Church, 6435 N. New Braunfels at Primrose across from Sunset Ridge Shopping Center. Our social hour starts at 9:30 am with a program and business meeting following at 10:00 am.
Currently, the Board of Directors meets first Thursday of every month at 1:00 pm in the Castle Hills Community Room, 209 Lemonwood.
FASA sponsors workshops led by regionally and nationally-known fiber artists, photographers and art business experts. Workshop participation is opened first to members and then to the general public. If you would like more information, email our Program Vice Presidents for details.
CALL FOR ARTISTS In conjunction with the bi-annual conference, The Texas Federation of Fiber Artists is sponsoring a juried exhibition open to TFFA members. The exhibition will be displayed at the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Kerrville Texas. It will be juried by Kathyanne White, internationally known mixed-media fiber artist and instructor. All fiber artists living in Texas are invited to apply.

ENTRY FORMAT: 1. Entries will be juried from high-resolution digital images.
2. Each images file size must not exceed 2MB or 600 (2 inches) x 800 pixels (2.5 inches) and 300 pixels/inch depth.
3. Each entry MUST have two JPEG (.jpg) images – full and detail --and labeled with the artist’s name and the title of the artwork.
4. All image entries are submitted via email.
SALES: Sales are encouraged. The Hill Country Arts Foundation (HCAF)
retains a 40% commission on the sale of each artwork. Payments for the sale(s) are made directly to the artist from HCAF. All artwork sold remains in the exhibition until the exhibition closes.
PUBLICITY: The Hill Country Arts Foundation and the Texas Federation of Fiber Artists will promote the exhibition and reserve the right to distribute photos as needed for this purpose. Artists retain rights to their artwork.
INSURANCE: The Hill Country Arts Foundation insures the artwork for its wholesale value while on premises. Insurance coverage for artwork in transit is the responsibility of the artist.
DELIVERY AND RETURN OF WORK: Work shipped to the Hill Country Arts Foundation must arrive in a container suitable for return shipping and accompanied by a pre-paid return shipping voucher. Artwork must be picked up at HCAF on Sunday, February 26, 2012 unless prior arrangements are made with HCAF.

Juror Internationally–known mixed-media fiber artist and instructor Kathyanne White will select the artwork for this exhibition. Ms. White’s textile assemblages have been exhibited in galleries throughout the United States and abroad and collected by museums including New York’s Museum of Art and Design, Museum of American Folk Art and the Archives of American Art of the Smithsonian Institution. White has been featured in a variety of arts publications
including Fiber Arts, Surface, American Style and has been named trendsetter in Art Business News.
